Old Pictures
Whilst the new pics with new figures and scenery are pending I thought I'd post a few pics below of three battles I had years ago with my old scenery and figures.
Antietam / Sharpsburg.
The quiet before the storm...Antietam Creek is prominent. Burnsides bridge is in the top left corner. Sharpsburg town is top right whilst the bloody sunken lane is bottom right. The woods, cornfield and Dunker church are off picture to the right.
Fredericksburg
Fredericksburg town is central in this shot. Marye's Heights and the stone wall are beyond the town to the left. The Rappahannock River snakes its way along two edges of the table.
Here's the other end of the table still behind Union lines. At this end it's Reynolds vs Jackson. The railroad runs on into town. Pontoons span the river. The Confederates held the high ground all the way along their side of the field, were well entrenched and connected by improved roadways - an ideal position to defend from with a clear killing ground to their front over which the Union would have to come.
Shiloh
Johnston's troops press Grant back against Pittsburgh Landing on the banks of the Tennessee River.
Scenery tiles were made of 500mm square polystyrene ceiling tiles - two stuck together to give depth. I now use 50mm deep one piece polystyrene tiles (again 500mm square) cut to size and delivered to me by a local specialist trade outlet for a great price.
